Broadley Street Gardens in Church Street could receive up to £400,000 as part of Boris Johnson’s ‘Help a London Park’ scheme but it needs your help.
This popular inner-city park is one of 10 green spaces in North London to have been nominated for the grant. The two parks with the most votes will receive up to £400,000 each.
Broadley Street Gardens was forced to close in July 2008 for extensive emergency works but it is set to reopen in the summer of 2009. This prize would allow Westminster’s Conservative Council to make huge improvements to the park, one of the few green spaces in the area, and to transform it into a haven for local residents to enjoy.
