Only under a Conservative Government can people be sure that there will be no third runway at Heathrow.
Last Thursday, in an historic rebellion, 28 Labour MPs supported our ‘Opposition Day Motion’ urging the government to ‘rethink its plans for a third runway at Heathrow Airport and to give full consideration to alternative solutions.’
This was the largest rebellion amongst Labour MPs on an opposition motion since they came to power more than a decade ago.
Two Labour MPs have already resigned over the matter and three former Environment Ministers were also amongst the rebel MPs.
A third runway at Heathrow WILL affect residents in Westminster North.
“The constituency (Westminster North), which is not much affected at present by Heathrow aircraft, would be greatly affected if a third runway were to be built.”
- John Stewart, Chairman of HACAN ClearSkies
I oppose a third runway at Heathrow. I want to protect the quality of residents’ lives and the environment in Westminster North. The Conservative Party is also opposed to a third runway at Heathrow. We believe in a better Heathrow, not a bigger Heathrow. A Conservative Government would introduce a high-speed rail link that would yield major social, environmental and economic benefits whilst freeing up slots at Heathrow.
Please get in touch and let me know your thoughts on Labour’s proposals to build a third runway at Heathrow.
